AEROCENTURY CORP. ANNOUNCES AIRCRAFT TRANSACTIONS
(BURLINGAME, CA), April 25, 2006
-- AeroCentury Corp., (ASE:ACY), an independent aircraft leasing
company, today announced a new lessee for its Saab 340A aircraft and
the sale of its remaining Shorts SD3-60 aircraft.
The first Saab 340A aircraft,
serial number 12, was leased to RegionsAir for a term of 24 months
with an extension option. Serial number 12 is the first of two Saab
340A aircraft to be leased to RegionsAir under a term sheet between
the Company and Regions Air.
RegionsAir, based in Smyrna,
Tennessee, currently operates 12 aircraft pursuant to code-sharing
agreements with American Airlines and Continental Airlines providing
service to small and medium-sized communities as part of the
Federally-subsidized Essential Air Service (EAS) program.
The Shorts SD3-60 aircraft, serial
number 3732, was sold to a U.S. operator.
AeroCentury is an aircraft
operating lessor and finance company specializing in leasing
regional aircraft and engines utilizing triple net leases. The
Company’s aircraft and engines are on lease to regional airlines and
commercial users worldwide.
